It all started with a simple phrase: “Dari sampah, menjadi berkah” (From Waste to Blessing).” At the end of 2014, the Mayor of Tangerang initiated a historic project known as the Zero Waste Project. This revolution in urban waste management focused on four main pillars: educating the community, meticulously tracking household waste generation, streamlining waste accumulation at landfills, and organizing an efficient city waste transportation system.
During this transformative journey, Maxymum played a key role. We participated in designing an advanced monitoring and digital integration system, transforming real-time data into the foundation for wise decision-making. We also created effective and interactive communication and education tools. The goal was simple yet profound – to make the community understand the importance of waste reduction and segregation, and to inspire widespread participation in addressing urban waste issues.
The collaboration between Maxymum and the City of Tangerang resulted in an urban waste management dashboard that continues to be used to this day. This achievement led Tangerang to win the Adipura Kencana award in 2017 and the Adipura award in the Metropolitan category in 2016 and 2018, celebrating their outstanding contribution to sustainable urban living. The journey from waste to blessing has become an extraordinary transformation story. Maxymum is proud to have been a part of it.
